| Monsoon season in Arizona is the time to see and photograph the elusive and very similar looking Cassin's and Botteri's Sparrows; they are perched and skylarking, which makes them visible, and at the same time they are giving their clearly distinct songs. I was lucky to be able to photograph both species while they were singing, along the lower reaches of Madera Canyon Road in early August, 2008. | ||||
