Long-eared

Long-eared Owls aren't easy to find, but we are lucky to have a reliable site
in the SF Bay Area where they can always be seen and where these photographs
were taken: Mercey Hot Springs, a small out-of-the way resort in the hills
on the western edge of the Central Valley, about half way between Fresno
and the Monterey Peninsula.
