White-eyed Vireo, Vireo griseus
Late April 2015 on a photo workshop led by Matt Studebaker in Shawnee State Forest, southeastern Ohio, I was able to get my first photos of this often shy vireo -- that light-colored eye set off by the bright yellow eyeline helps make him quite a beauty.
Like most photographers, I usually prefer even light on the bird, but here I liked the effect of the dappling.
